Blind and visually impaired Kazan citizens will be able to touch the history of the World Cup-2018

A relief-graphic manual on championship was developed for them.

(KZN.RU, July 13). The relief and graphic manual “World Football Championship-2018” was developed in the Republican Special Library for the Blind and Visually Impaired. The edition tells about the history of the main sporting event in our country, its symbols, participating cities. Particular attention is paid to Kazan and how the capital of Tatarstan hosted the championship.

The text in the publication is in parallel on a relief-point and enlarged font and is colorfully illustrated with relief-graphic images. The emblem, the mascot of the World Championship the Wolf Zabivaka, the stadium “Kazan Arena” and its logo have acquired a relief in the publication, due to which the blind can “look” at it with their fingertips. Audio description and detailed information material will help to make a more detailed and holistic presentation.

The team of the library staff worked on the development of the publication: compilers, audio descriptors, editor of Braille printing, artist and specialist in relief graphics, the press service of the library. reports

A manual is in the library at Serov Street, №3. Not only library readers, but also blind residents and visitors to the capital can use it.
