The school №180 of the Sovetsky district won the grand prize of “Big Break”

<p> (KZN.RU, April 16, Alena Miroshnichenko). The Kazan festival of general educational institutions “Big Break-2019” ended today with a big gala concert. The best dancers, singers, models and fashion designers, actors and many others who passed the qualifying school, district and city stages performed at the concert. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, presented awards to the winners of the festival. </p> <p> As the Mayor noted, the “Big Break” is a joyful event for both children and those who prepared the children, teachers and parents. This year the festival brought together 3 thousand children from 1 to 11 grades of 125 schools in the city. “Any principal, of course, wants to see his school, his children on the podium. But this is a competition where there are no losers. The result is the victory of creativity, and the fact that our children delight us more and more every year”, said the Mayor of the city in his congratulations. </p> <p> The qualifying rounds of the “Big Break” were held from January to March. According to the results, the best in 4 directions were determined: musical, dancing, theatrical and original ones. Most of the performances of the children were devoted to the theme of the upcoming WorldSkills Kazan-2019. A special award “The best performance on the WorldSkills Championship” was established in each of the nominations of the competition program of the festival. </p> <p> “Here, on this stage, professional artists perform today in the restored House of Culture Lenin. Children are equal to even professional artists in the desire to win, create, bring joy to those sitting in the hall,. This is the most important result for us. We once launched this competition so that our children develop their creative abilities, dance, sing and perform in a team. And as the Mayor, I am happy that I live, work and lead a city in which there are such talented children”, said the Mayor before presenting the main awards. </p> <p> The Mayor of Kazan also noted the role of school principals in the preparation and victories of schoolchildren. “Dear principals, I appreciate and respect your work. Especially I want to thank you for finding opportunities, finances, inviting dance teachers, stage directors, and costumers for children. This is a huge work”, said the Mayor of Kazan. </p> <p> The main prize and a certificate in the amount of 1 million rubles for the purchase of special equipment were received by school №180 of the Sovetsky district. Second place went to school №137 of the Kirovsky district, they got a certificate for 600 thousand rubles. And the third place was shared by the school №181 of the Sovetsky district and the school №16 of the Privolzhsky district, each was awarded certificates for 300 thousand rubles. In addition, the school laureates were awarded certificates for 100 thousand rubles at the concert: the school №23 of Novo-Savinovsky district, the school №182 of the Kirovsky district, and the school №149 of the Sovetsky district. The awards were also presented to the festival finalists: the school №132 of the Novo-Savinovsky district, the school №18 of the Privolzhsky district, and the school №3 of the Kirovsky district. </p> <p> Liliya Khamitova, the deputy director for academic affairs of the school №180 of the Sovetsky district, noted that winning the festival is of great importance for children, parents, and the administration of the school. “Children are engaged in sections, participate in additional competitions, they want to show themselves on the big stage. They, of course, were very worried. But for some reason, we did not lose confidence that together we will win. In addition, this is the preparation for WorldSkills for us, because in August our school will become the base for the guests of the championship”, she said. </p>
