Russian athletes were the best in group exercises, the Ministry of Sports of the republic of Tatarstan reports. The team included Alisa Balan, Alisa Chernyaeva, Sofia Liyasova, Elizaveta Lozova, Ekaterina Timoshenko, and Alisa Khannanova from Kazan.
For reference, the Russian-Chinese Youth Summer Games take place in Chongqing on May 22 -27. Earlier, a swimmer from Kazan, Sofia Dyakova, won silver and bronze medals.
The Russian national team consisted of 158 athletes, which are supported by over 50 coaches and support staff. Medals are awarded in eight sports: badminton, basketball, volleyball, handball, wrestling, swimming, football and rhythmic gymnastics.
