The Sabantuy 2018: how to get to the main festive sites

The Tatar national holiday will be celebrated in the Berezovaya Roscha in Mirny and at the Lebyazhie Lake.

(KZN.RU, June 22). On June 23, Kazan will celebrate the Tatar national holiday Sabantuy. It will be held at two sites of the city: in the Berezovaya Roscha of the Mirny Settlement and the park zone of the Lebyazhie Lak. Residents and guests of the capital of Tatarstan and also fans who came to the city for World Cup football matches will visit the festival.

Traditionally, the main site of the holiday will be the Berezovaya Roscha of the Mirny Settlement, where residents and guests of the capital of Tatarstan have prepared a program with folk festivals, fun, creative master classes, handmade fair and sports competitions. You could get to the site by taking public transport, in particular, by special bus routes from four stops: “Metro station Prospect Pobedy”, “10 micro-district”, “Concert Hall of the Philharmonia” at Pavlyukhin, and “Glazunov Street” (Teplokontrol). 73 buses will run on these routes. They will operate from 8 am until the end of the festivities and the export of all guests of the holiday. It is expected that the festive events will last until 4 pm. The charging is by the usual tariff. In addition, you could get to the Sabantuy site by train from the station “Kazan-1”.

The park zone of the Lebyazhie Lake will be divided into several sites of various subjects. The holiday will begin at 10 am, and buses to the site will start to run from 8 am.

You can get to Lebyazhie by buses №36, 46, and 72. They start at the bus stop “Rempler” in the Zalesny Settlement. From there, free buses with holiday signs “Sabantuy 2018” will run every 5 minutes. Transportation on these routes will be carried out until the end of the holiday, about 4 pm. Buses running along the Gorkovskoe Highway will operate in an enhanced mode. The route will have 72 more units of rolling stock. The parking will be organized for residents and visitors of the city. Cars can be left in the parking lot near the residential complex “Zalesny City”, near the camp “Solnechny”, on the site near the ski base “Dynamo” near the lake Maloe Lebyazhie.

After lunch, the folk festivities will continue on the territory of the Kazan Hippodrome. The traditional equestrian competitions consisting of 12 races will be held there. The equestrian event starts at 3 pm and will be accompanied by a concert program.

On the day of Sabantuy, the traffic and parking will be partially limited near Berezovaya Roscha. From 6 am to 5 pm, the traffic and parking will be limited along the road leading from the Orenburgsky Tract and from the Fermskoe Highway to the maidan in the Berezovaya Roscha of the Privolzhsky district of Kazan.
