S. Kirienko and R. Minnikhanov assessed the reconstructed Cathedral of the Our Lady of Kazan

<p> (KZN.RU, September 5). Sergey Kirienko, the first deputy head of the Administration of the President of the RF, highly appreciated the quality and pace of construction work on the reconstruction of the Cathedral of the Our Lady of Kazan in the capital of the RT. Together with Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, Mintimer Shaimiev, the State Counselor of the RT, and Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan, Feofan, they visited a place where a miraculous icon was found in 1579. </p> <p> </p> <p> The guest inspected the Holy Cross Temple, which is the abode of the icon, the Cave Temple, recreated on the site of finding the image, and the temple under construction. Speaking about the process of its re-creation, Metropolitan Feofan noted that the works are not deviating from the schedule. Large and small crosses are installed, the roof of small cupolas of copper, the works on the thermal insulation of the main dome and external plastering work are being completed. The place of the Our Lady of Kazan and the iconostasis of the Cave Temple are being made. The external construction work is planned to be completed by November 4, reports the press service of the President of the RT. </p> <p> </p> <p> Asgat Safarov, the head of the Presidential Administration of the RT, Denis Kalinkin, the head of the Kazan Executive Committee, Ilnur Shakirov, the head of the department for Language Development and Interaction with Public Organizations, and others also attended the event. </p>
