The improvised cinema will be located near the house №10 on Mardzhani Street. Marat Kornilov, the director of the MBU “Historical Environment”, told about this at the press conference in the IA “Tatar-inform” today.
The screenings will be organized on Saturdays, the broadcast of films will begin at 8.30 pm. “Everything will depend on the sunset, because it is impossible to watch films during the daytime”, explained M. Kornilov. The cinema will work all summer.
Comfortable chairs will be prepared for the convenience of the audience, or it will also be possible to sit on the lawns. The total capacity of the cinema is about 400 seats., according to the speaker
The first film on June 8 will be “Pele: The Birth of a Legend”. Within the framework of the project, the audience will be presented with documentary and feature short and full-length films by Tatarstan and Russian filmmakers from funds of the “Tatarkino”.
Also, films broadcasted as part of the “Kinosreda” will be presented. “The audience will see domestic and foreign comedies. This genre is popular with young people, so we hope that films will cause interest”, said Milyausha Aituganova, the director of the GBUK RT “Tatarkino”.
In addition, the “Week of Turkic cinema” will be held from 21 to 23 of June. In the framework of it, it is planned to show Turkic films in the Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda. During the “Week of Tatar cinema” from 22 to 29 of August, films of Tatar directors will be shown in the cinema.
Also, a set of free movie screenings “Retro-Thursday” started in the Kazan park “Krylya Sovetov” on May 30. Outdoor screenings on Thursdays are held weekly until the end of summer.
