<p> (KZN.RU, March 25, Alina Berezhnaya). Spring flood in Kazan is predicted for the first 10 days of April. From March 29 a 24-hour presence of the employees of the Office of Civil Protection will be organised in the capital city of Tatarstan. Ferdinant Timurkhanov, the head of the Civil Protection Directorate, told about the readiness of the city today at the Business Monday. </p> <p> According to Ferdinant Timurkhanov's words, the weather in Kazan is favourable to safety - at night air temperature is lowered, and the daytime temperature is high. If the weather is set to continue, spring flood in Kazan is predicted for the first 10 days of April, while ice on Volga will be opened from April 15 till April 20. Ferdinant Timurkhanov also noted that the flood danger of Volga river is low. </p> <p> The houses in lowlands and on the coasts of rivers are located in danger zone. 7 bids of flooding of private houses in the city have already been received to the Uniform dispatching service. </p> <p> Rescuers are conducting preventive events. «The inspection of the equipment has been conducted which will be used in a flood, also bulk barriers for thawed snow are being created and procleaning of the beds of rivers is being conducted in Kirovsky, Moscovsky, Sovetsky districts of Kazan», - F.Timurkhanov told and added that in total in Kazan 150 manoeuvrable groups, 137 technician units, 147 oil scavenge pumps, 2370 bags with sand and 810 traps have been prepared for<b> </b>the case of emergency situation. Besides 40 automobile bridges, 16 shore transitions, 35 underground transitions have been checked during the preparation to the spring flood. 9 automobile bridges are located in the risk zone, a constant monitoring of each of them has been organised in the city. </p> <p> From March 29 all urban services of Kazan change over to strengthened working regime. As a whole, by words of the main rescuer of Kazan, the city is ready to meet flood. The deputies of Kazan districts reported today in more detail of preparation to this natural phenomenon. </p> <p> Ilsur Metshin called all services and the deputies of Kazan districts to be ready to spring flood. «In spite of favourable weather, flood situation should be further under control, and all off-line situations should be permitted maximally operatively. We will hope that flood will pass without any incident», - summarized the Mayor of Kazan. </p>
