<p> (KZN.RU, July 16). From 26 to 28 of July, the European Triathlon Championships at the sprint distance will be held in Kazan. Competitions of this level are held in Russia for the first time. The most active athletes from all over Europe will pass the route through the most beautiful places in the city. </p> <p> The swimming stage will be held in the water area of the Kazanka River; the cycle track will be laid along the central streets of the city past the walls of the Kazan Kremlin and the main attractions; the race will be completed at the Kremlin Embankment. </p> <p> On July 27, 150 best professional athletes from different countries and the leaders of the Russian team will take the start. Participants will have to swim 750 m, ride a bike for 20 km and run 5 km. </p> <p> On July 28, competitions among the amateurs (Age Groups) will take place within the framework of the European Triathlon Championships. The distance is the same: swimming at 750 m, cycling at 20 km, and running at 5 km. The Russian Triathlon fans will also be able to perform along with the fastest triathletes in Europe. </p> <p> Within this weekend, the amateur competitions IRONSTAR 113 KAZAN 2019 will also take place on the so-called “half-iron” distance: swimming 1.93 km, cycling 90 km and running 21.1 km.
