Ilsur Metshin ordered to convey this information to all parents at the first meetings in the new school year.
(KZN.RU, August 5, Ksenia Shvetsova). From September 1, Kazan schools will provide access to canteens for all parents who wish to assess the quality of school meals. All questions and problems arising in the field of organization of school meals must be solved only together with the parents of the students, said Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, today at the Business Monday. He urged parents to more actively monitor the work of the canteens and share their comments and suggestions.
According to Ilnar Khidiyatov, the head of the Education Department, in order to ensure safety and unhindered access to the catering unit, parents will have to notify the class teacher of their arrival in advance. “Feedback from parents will allow quickly responding to the organization of school canteens”, said I. Khidiyatov. “Hotlines and online polls will be organized to get feedback”.
He also reminded that since April of this year, a parental control journal was introduced in the city’s schools where active parents can leave their suggestions.
The parents of all schoolchildren should be informed about the new rules and the possibilities of feedback, marked Ilsur Metshin. “We will solve issues with school catering in dialogue with parents. At the first meetings in the new school year, we need to convey this information to them and get feedback. And we must use more actively those information technologies that we have”.
Kazan parents can take part in various projects that are implemented by the Department of Food and Social Catering. Last November, the project “Mother Knows” for active parents of Kazan schoolchildren was launched. Parents meet with department heads, try school meals, and discuss important issues for students. To date, 5 meetings have been held within the framework of the project, Rima Mukhamedshina, the head of the Department, noted in her report.
An online questionnaire is also conducted and the special app is used for feedback.
