The parcels sent to Tatarstan will be checked from May 1

A special procedure for receiving mail items is established due to the holding of the World Cup.

(KZN.RU, April 28). Fr om May 1 to July 25, the Russian Post establishes a special procedure for receiving mail items addressed to the regions hosting the tournament.

During this period, the acceptance of parcels, EMS shipments, and parcels of the 1st class addressed to the regions where the World Cup matches will be held, including to Tatarstan, is carried out with mandatory checking of the investment for additional control of the absence of items and substances prohibited for shipment. Postal items must be presented to employees of the post office in an open form. Also, the Russian Post recommends that customers send parcels and shipments of EMS to the regions wh ere the World Cup matches will take place with a list of attachments.

This is a standard procedure for postal operators around the world in the period of major sporting events, reports the press service of the Russian Post. Such security measures were applied in post offices during the XXII Olympic Winter Games and the XI Paralympic Winter Games of 2014 in Sochi, as well as the Confederations Cup-2017.
