The delegation from Uzbekistan got acquainted with the experience of the capital of the republic of Tatarstan in the digitalization of urban economy. The head of the Executive Committee Rustem Gafarov met with the hakim of the city of Jizzakh Komil Kholmurodov at the Kazan City Hall. The guests were very interested in the digital projects implemented in Kazan, so the parties agreed to discuss them in more detail shortly.
“Tatarstan and Uzbekistan have a strong friendship, this is facilitated by the similarity of language, culture and traditions. I am sure that after your visit our relations will receive a new round of development,”- Rustem Gafarov noted. He reminded that in 2020, the deputy hakim of Tashkent participated at the Kazan Digital Week forum, and invited the delegation to the next forum, which will take place in September.
“More than 10 thousand foreign students from 101 countries study at the Kazan Federal University. The decision to establish its branch in Jizzakh is an important milestone in strengthening relations and will become the first international project of KFU. We are ready to share our experience,”- the head of the Executive Committee assured.
In turn, Komil Kholmurodov noted that the delegation arrived in the capital of the republic of Tatarstan after participating at the 4th International Forum on the Development and Digital Transformation of Cities “Smart City – Smart Country” in Ufa.
“We are interested in the introduction of smart systems in urban economy, we are also working in this field. Studying international practices is part of our plans. You have a great experience in the IT technologies,”- hakim of Jizzakh replied.
Taking into account the interests of the delegation, the guests were presented with digital projects that are being implemented in various spheres of urban economy. The deputy head of the Executive Committee Iskander Giniyatullin shared experience in the housing and utilities services, as well as waste collection and snow removal.
“The AIS Waste digital platform is launched. It allows to monitor the condition of container yards, track the movement of garbage trucks along the route, and applications are also accepted in the system. With the help of the platform, we can take timely measures. Snow removal is also controlled in a similar way. To do this, all equipment is equipped with sensors,”- the speaker explained.
The delegation also got acquainted with the work of the Open Kazan system, in which it is possible to report on housing issues. Komil Kholmurodov noted that there is no such platform in Jizzakh, so Iskander Giniyatullin promised to share detailed information about the project.
Acting Chairman of the Transport Committee of the city Marat Sharipov reported about an automated traffic management system (ASUDD) in Kazan. A third of the city's traffic lights are connected to it. This allows you to organize traffic without congestion. Only two cities have such an advanced 5th generation system - Kazan and Moscow. Marat Sharipov also spoke about the Citysoft system, which operates on 25 city buses. In real time, artificial intelligence determines the quality of street cleaning from snow, the condition of roads, markings and signs.
