Rustem Gafarov instructs to speed up preparations for the BRICS summit in Kazan

Rustem Gafarov, the Head of the Executive Committee, held a meeting on preparations for the BRICS summit, which will be held in Kazan in October 2024. He urged to speed up the delivery of all projects. A lot of work to be carried out in the city: replacing utilities and lifting platforms, repairing roads, stairs, roofs and facades of buildings, mounting decorative elements and so on.

Igor Kulyazhev, deputy head of the Executive Committee of the city, named the repair of 12 stairs and 18 road sections among the priorities. As of today, the project documentation for the replacement of three elevators in overhead crossings is also prepared. In addition, funds have been allocated for landscaping and planting trees and shrubs.

The monument “Kazan”, installed at the exit from the airport, will also be renovated. Repair and painting of the 21st retaining wall is planned in the city districts. Kulyazhev proposed to place graffiti on buildings.
