<p> Rustem Gafarov, previously first Deputy Head of the Executive Committee, was appointed as head of the Executive Committee of Kazan. This decision was made today at the second session of the Kazan City Duma. </p> <p> An open competition for the position of Head of the Executive Committee of Kazan was announced on September 21. </p> <p> On October 19, the competition commission at a meeting reviewed the submitted applications, heard all the candidates and selected two applicants. </p> <p> Today, the candidates for the position spoke about their work in recent years and presented their city development programs to the deputies. After voting, Rustem Gafarov was appointed to the position of Head of the Executive Committee by a majority of votes. </p>
