Rustem Gafarov: “We must give every child in a difficult life situation a chance to prove himself”

Accepting applications for participation in the festival “Good Wave” continues.

(KZN.RU, June 19, Alina Berezhnaya). Accepting applications for participation in the All-Russian cultural and charitable festival of children's creativity “Good Wave” continues. Today at the working meeting, Rustem Gafarov, the first deputy head of the Kazan Executive Committee, instructed to inform all potential participants and give the opportunity to each gifted child to show the creative abilities. Deputy heads of districts of Kazan, representatives of the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the RT, the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the RT, as well as representatives of creative teams, music and art schools and other institutions of additional education attended the meeting.

The application campaign for participation in the “Good Wave” started on June 7 and will run until June 29 inclusive on the official website of the festival. Rustem Gafarov reminded that for the third year, the festival brings together talented children in difficult life situations from all over Russia on the same stage.

The competition for gifted children is held with the support of the Presidential Grants Foundation, the Government of the RT and the Charity Foundation “Good Kazan”. The organizers are the Igor Krutoy Academy and the Kazan City Hall.

Qualifying stages of the festival traditionally start in Kazan. On July 1, a qualifying round will take place on the stage of the Cultural Center “Moskovsky”. On July 2, a regional gala concert will take place at the “Pyramida”. Then the qualifying stages will be held in Yaroslavl, Sevastopol, Rostov-on-Don, Vladivostok, Novosibirsk, Kursk, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Kaliningrad, and Moscow.

“The main goal of the festival is the development of a charity culture, support for young talents. Now we need to inform all potential participants as much as possible so that each child can show their talents”, said R. Gafarov.

Elena Gorodetskaya, the director of the branch of the Academy of Popular Music (Volga region) of Igor Krutoy, said that the festival allows children showing their work in various genres, including music (vocals, gestural singing, and instrument playing), choreography, stage art (original genre, reading).

“Good Wave” is a bright holiday for children, which gives a chance to participate in a beautiful festival”, noted E. Gorodetskaya.

The highlight of the festival will be a gala concert in Kazan on November 28.

The festival will not only make the dream of many children come true, but will also become a launching pad for the realization of their talent, said Alsu Saetova, an assistant minister for Youth Affairs of the RT. “Children, along with the opportunity to perform on the same stage with the stars, will be awarded prizes. It will allow them to develop their abilities and continue creative work”, she said.
