Rustam Minnikhanov met with winners of youth federal competitions

(KZN.RU, June 27). Today, Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, met with the winners of youth federal competitions. The meeting was timed to the Day of Youth and was held in the building of Kazan Federal University. Leila Fazleeva, the deputy prime minister of the Government of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Damir Fattakhov, the Minister for Youth Affairs, and others also attended the meeting.

Before the event, Rustam Minnikhanov briefly described the achievements of the youth organizations of the republic, the victories at federal and regional competitions.

For example, members of the youth government of the RT took part in the X Congress of Youth Governments of the Russian Federation. As a result of 2017, the Youth Government of the RT entered the top ten.

The delegation of the RT took part in the III Intellectual Olympiad of the Volga Federal District among students. The Olympiad took place in Saransk, and representatives from 14 regions of the Volga Federal District participated in it. The combined team of the RT took first place in the Volga Federal District.

In addition, the team of the RT received the Grand Prix of the All-Russian Festival “Russian Student Spring” that took place from May 15 to May 20, 2018 in Stavropol. The festival united 2700 students from 80 regions of the country.

Representatives of youth organizations invited the President to take part in the next forum of young citizens of the RT that will be held on October 3this year. They also reminded that Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the very first forum of young citizens seven years ago.

Then a film about the achievements of the republic in the field of youth policy was shown in the assembly hall to the participants of the event. Thus, it was noted that youth make up 840000 people in the region, or 22% of the total population. The Republic celebrated the 55th anniversary of student detachments; the youth government of the Republic of Tatarstan was formed; Tatarstan won 42 grants of Rosmolodezh in 2017; Tatarstan became the four-time winner of the festival “Student Spring”; the republic celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Patriot Center, the largest one in Russia; annually there are more than 20 events of federal and international level in the sphere of youth policy in the republic.

Then the winners and laureates of the festival “Russian Student Spring 2018” presented their concert performances. The vocal ensemble of the folk song “Zarnitsa” with the song “Give the Balalaika”, the choreographic band of the KFU “Gorod M” with the dance “History in the style of Kung Fu” .

Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated all activists of youth on the Day of Youth. He thanked everyone for their active life position and for their glorification of the RT.

“The youth is our future”, said Rustam Minnikhanov. “We used to be like you. We will try not to interfere with you and support in everything”.

The President also reminded that a new structure was created in the republic to improve the state administration in the sphere of state youth policy: the Ministry for Youth Affairs.

Modern youth should be well-trained, ambitious, aimed at the result, said Rustam Minnikhanov. This is the main competitive advantage of our republic.

“We can see and appreciate the successes that you have achieved in the Volga Federal District and in the whole country”, he said, “We are proud of you and have high hopes for you”.

Rustam Minnikhanov also presented the Gratitude of the President of the RT to specialists in working with youth, reports the press service of the head of the republic.

Representatives of the youth activists of the RT in return handed souvenirs to the President, including the symbol of “Student Spring”, a cat figure.
