<p> A concert dedicated to the 76^th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War was held at the Opera and Ballet Theater named after M.Jalil. It was attended by veterans of the Great Patriotic War, home front workers and relatives of the fallen. During the ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov handed the awards of the fallen heroes of the Great Patriotic War to their relatives. The commemorative event was also attended by Tatarstan Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin, Chair of Tatarstan State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President Asgat Safarov and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin. </p> <p> Addressing to the audience, Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that the Victory Day is a special holiday. “Every family remembers and honors its heroes. Their names will always remain in our hearts. We will tell our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren about their feat,”- he said. The President noted that the path to victory was long and hard. Hundreds of thousands of Tatarstan citizens lost their lives in the sake of peace and did not return from the battlefields. The participants of the event paid tribute to the perished by a minute of silence. </p> <p> Rustam Minnikhanov added that the labor feats of the people of Tatarstan deserve special attention: “The workers of factories and plants had spared no effort and worked at their looms around the clock, the village workers sent millions of tons of food to the front, doctors and nurses saved the lives of hundreds of thousands of warriors. Representatives of the academic and artistic communities also made an invaluable contribution to the victory.” </p> <p> Addressing the veterans, Rustam Minnikhanov sincerely thanked them for the Victory, heroism and labor feat in the name of the Homeland and future generations. “I sincerely wish you and your families wellbeing, longevity, happiness and all the very best!”- Tatarstan President added. </p> <p> Then Rustam Minnikhanov handed the award documents to the relatives of the fallen participants of the Great Patriotic War. </p>
