R. Minnikhanov: “We will continue to enhance the prestige of working professions”

<p> (KZN.RU, February 26, Ksenia Shvetsova). More than 65% in the structure of vacancies in Kazan are occupied by working professions. Resource centers are being created for their popularization in the country in preparation for the WorldSkills-2019. In the near future, work on shaping and enhancing the prestige of working professions will be continued. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, said this today at the meeting of the XXXII session of the Kazan City Duma in the City Hall. </p> <p> </p> <p> In general, the situation on the labor market in Kazan in 2018 remained stable, said Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, in his speech. According to him, the number of registered unemployed is 14% lower than the same period last year. At the same time, workers in the construction and factory professions are still in demand. </p> <p> </p> <p> “The Championship WorldSkills-2019, which we will host in August in Kazan, plays a huge role in popularizing the working professions”, said I. Metshin. He added that 47 Tatarstan participants entered the national team; 30 of them are fr om Kazan. </p> <p> </p> <p> In preparation for the championship, resource and educational centers are being created, wh ere participants are being prepared for competitions, reminded the President of the RT. “We will continue to create resource centers. Most of them are located in Kazan. Over the past few years, we have provided resource centers in Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, Naberezhnye Chelny, and other cities with modern equipment. We will continue to work on the formation and enhancement of the prestige of working professions, this topic remains under control”, summed up R. Minnikhanov. </p> <p> </p> <p> The Championship WorldSkills Kazan 2019 will be held in the capital of Tatarstan from 22 to 27 of August. Young professionals from 60 countries of the world will take part in 56 competencies of the tournament. </p>
