R. Minnikhanov and I. Metshin visited Moscow Universal University of Creative Industries

The Tatarstan delegation also visited the Museum of Contemporary Art “Garage” and Gorky Central Park.

Today, during a working visit to Moscow, the delegation of Tatarstan headed by Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, visited the Moscow Universal University of Creative Industries. They got acquainted with the new exhibition of the Museum of Contemporary Art “Garage”. Rustam Minnikhanov was accompanied by Natalia Fishman, an assistant to the President of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, and others.

Ekaterina Cherkes-zade, the director of the university, presented the educational programs of Universal University to representatives of Tatarstan. She explained that the institution was founded in 2003. Today, there are more than 900 teachers and about 200 employees who ensure the efficiency of the university. More than 200 educational programs and courses that develop almost all modern areas of the creative industry are represented. In 2018, 3.8 thousand students studied at the university.

The next object that guests visited in Moscow was the Museum of Contemporary Art “Garage”. An extensive program of exhibition, educational, scientific and publishing activities reflects current processes in Russian and international culture and opens up opportunities for public dialogue and the creation of new works. The spaces that the museum occupies play a key role in the development of a modern approach to the creation of a museum that meets the needs of both art and the public. The Museum of Contemporary Art “Garage” is the first philanthropic organization in Russia aimed at the development of modern art and culture. It was founded in 2008 by Daria Zhukova and Roman Abramovich. In the Museum, Rustam Minnikhanov and his entourage got acquainted with the exhibition exposition on the theme of ecology.

Also, R. Minnikhanov visited Gorky Central Park today. He inspected playgrounds, children's recreation areas, and other themed areas. Since 2011, this park sets new standards, becoming the first world-class park in Russia, a space for recreation, sports, dancing, and outdoor games, reports the press service of the President of the RT.

The Tatarstan delegation arrived in the Russian capital yesterday as part of a working visit. Yesterday, Ilsur Metshin and Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the work of the Moscow Urban Forum, which was held in the Moscow Zaryadie Concert Hall.
