Today, on Youth Day, a test drive of Russia's largest URAM extreme park has started in Kazan. The center for extreme sports fans is located under the Millennium Bridge. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and Minister of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan Damir Fattakhov inspected the status of the park.
The new extreme park consists of 8 zones: a skate park, two pump tracks for accomplished and beginning athletes, a workout and parkour area, a streetball park, an air park and a training zone. URAM is the largest extreme park in Russia. Its area is 1.9 hectares. Due to the current sanitary and epidemiological situation, test races were conducted without spectators, observing all safety measures.
Rustam Minnikhanov, together with Ilsur Metshin and Damir Fattakhov, visited the competition areas, talked with athletes and asked their opinion about the new youth site. Extreme athletes highly appreciated the park's infrastructure and called the site one of the best in the world.
In one of the tents, Rustam Minnikhanov greeted the participants of the “Time of the young” online forum via video link. The forum is attended by 1000 representatives of active youth from 31 regions of Russia and 15 countries. The program includes discussions, creative meetings and lectures of well-known speakers, Tatarstan President’s Press Office reports.
Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated all participants of the forum on Youth Day. “Despite some restrictions, we celebrate this holiday on such a beautiful site. The construction is almost completed and test competitions are underway. Nearby, we are building an indoor park where you can practice in winter. We must create all conditions for our young people. I feel young here,” – Tatarstan President noted. He also presented commemorative medals for the selfless contribution to the organization of the All-Russian event of mutual assistance “We are together!” to the most active volunteers of the republic.
The URAM extreme park will open in the summer for Kazan citizens and visitors of the city, after the epidemiological situation stabilizes and all technical, construction and commissioning work is completed.

The project is based on proposals from street communities.
Today, an indoor extreme park is also under construction-the center of Tatarstan's urban youth communities, which will be located under the Millennium Bridge too. The indoor park will allow young people practice street art and extreme sports all year round.
