The Russian team wins the phygital basketball at the Games of the Future in Kazan

Liga Pro Team beat the American R10 Team USA with a total score of 34:32

The Russian Liga Pro Team became the winner in the phygital basketball discipline at the Games of the Future in Kazan. They beat the American R10 Team USA with a total score of 34:32.

Mikhail Panchenko, Shalva Shatashvili, Mikhail Yudov and Vladislav Meleshkin will receive prize money in the amount of 437 thousand dollars for their victory. The third place was taken by the team from Russia UralBasket, they beat the Chinese team MDX with a total score of 40:26.

The phygital basketball was played in two stages: digital (basketball simulator) and physical (2x2 basketball). The winning team is determined by the amount of goals scored.

The Games of the Future are phygital competitions that combines classic and digital sports. The tournament program combines 21 disciplines in five challenges. The total prize fund is 10 million dollars.
