Rospotrebnadzor: all anti-COVID restrictions have been lifted

In case of deterioration of health situation, they can be introduced again.

Since July 1, all restrictions imposed due to the spread of coronavirus infection have been lifted in Russia. Now anti-COVID measures shall be treated as recommendary.

As reported on the website of Rospotrebnadzor (Federal Service for Supervision of Consumers Protection), over the past four months there has been a steady decrease in the intensity of the epidemiological process in the country. The weekly incidence rate has decreased by more than 64 times and is at the lowest values since the beginning of the pandemic.

To date, 93% of patients in Russia are mildly sick or show no symptoms, and the likelihood of a new outbreak of the omicron strain in the summer is very low.

Nevertheless, the epidemiological situation remains under strict control of Rospotrebnadzor, and in case of its deterioration, previously lifted restrictions may be re-introduced.

For reference, the lifting of anti-COVID restrictions in Tatarstan took place in stages, taking into account the dynamics of changes in the health situation in the region and in the country.

Since June 6, in Tatarstan and its capital, it is no longer necessary to wear masks in transport, taxis, restaurants, shopping malls and other public places.
