Roman Vilfand: As heavy precipitation as in Moscow is not expected in Kazan

The scientific director of the Meteorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand reported about the weather situation in Kazan.

“The record downpours fell in Moscow yesterday afternoon. It rarely happens when such intensity happens for a short period of time - 20-25 mm fell in an hour,”- Roman Vilfand said.

According to him, now heavy precipitation is moving with the frontal section to the northeast of the Central Federal District- to the Kostroma and Yaroslavl regions.

“In the Volga Federal District, according to the forecast, very heavy rains, thunderstorms and wind are predicted only in the Perm Region,”- Roman Vilfand summed up.

He added that Tatarstan has now established a normal summer with a temperature +23 .. +27 degrees. Cloudy weather prevails in the republic with not very intense precipitation.
