Earlier, the first novel of the Kazan writer “Zuleikha Opens Her Eyes” was issued for the visually impaired and the blind.
(KZN.RU, July 25). The novel “My Children” by Guzel Yakhina was published in Braille at the publishing complex of the Republican Special Library for blind and visually impaired. This is a new work by a Kazan writer. It tells about the unique way of life of the colony of Volga Germans in the first half of the XX century.
This is the author's second book, adapted for the blind. Earlier, the author's novel “Zuleikha Opens Her Eyes” was published in Russian and Tatar in formats accessible to the blind and visually impaired, reports the library website.
The book printed in Braille is not the only accessible format for readers. The library received an audio version of the book from Guzel Yakhina; it is also available to all comers.
The library is open daily from 8 am to 5 pm and closed on Sundays.
