The director of the opera “Nabucco” will meet with fans in the House of Actor named after M. Salimzhanov

<p> (KZN.RU, February 2). Director Efim Meisel will meet with fans of his work in the House of Actor named after M. Salimzhanov on February 3. Yesterday, the XXXVI International Opera Festival named after Chaliapin opened in Kazan with his production of “Nabucco”.<br> </p> <p> </p> <p> E. Meisel lives in the US but he is known throughout the world. For 30 years, he managed to work on 60 operas and operettas on the stages of the Metropolitan Opera, the Opera of San Francisco, the Mariinsky Theater, the Opera of Washington, and other famous venues. E. Meisel staged the opera “Troubadour” by Giuseppe Verdi in the Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet Theater named after M. Jalil in 2015. </p> <p> </p> <p> The Chaliapin Festival-2018 opened in Kazan yesterday, on February 1. Conductor Stefano Romani (Italy), artist Victor Gerasimenko (Moscow), and choirmaster Lyubov Draznina (Kazan) worked on the production of “Nabucco” with E. Meisel. The main parties were performed by Boris Statsenko (Germany), Andrey Valentiy (Belarus), and other well-known artists. </p> <p> </p> <p> A creative meeting with the director will be the first in the series “Mask and Soul”. The participants of the Chaliapin festival will talk with the audience regularly. On February 5, vocalist Boris Statsenko will come to the House of Actor, on February 8 – Venera Protasova and Gulnora Gatina, and on February 11 – vocalist Mikhail Svetlov. The entrance to all meetings is free, according to the press service of the Union of Theater Workers of the RT. </p>
