More than 21,500 flights were carried out
For the first time, Kazan Airport became the leader in passenger traffic in the Volga Federal District. 5,168,000 passengers were served here last year, which is 28.6% more than in 2022.
Over 21,500 flights were carried out last year. Passenger traffic on domestic airlines increased by 20.3%, 3,736,000 people were transported. Flights to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Makhachkala, Mineralnye Vody, Novosibirsk and Sochi were in demand.
Passenger traffic on international routes increased by 56.9%, a record 1,432,000 people were served mainly to Antalya, Dubai, Hurghada, Sharm el Sheikh and Istanbul.
Kazan Airport has also become a transit point for passengers from Siberia and Central Asian cities traveling to the west and south of the country. The most popular routes with connections in the capital of the republic of Tatarstan include: Dushanbe-Moscow, Bishkek-Moscow, Dushanbe-St. Petersburg and Tomsk-Sochi.
