Rustem Gafarov inspects the progress of renovation at schools № 82 and № 98

<p> Renovation of educational institutions has started in the capital of Tatarstan. By the new school year, 17 renovated schools and 21 canteens will open, which will operate in the format of a school restaurant. Rustem Gafarov, Head of the Executive Committee of Kazan, visited schools №82 and № 98 and inspected the progress of the work today. </p> <p> The school № 82 is located at 107 Kachalova Street in the Privolzhsky district of the city. The building was built in 1936. More than 80 children study and 46 teachers work there. </p> <p> Rustem Gafarov inspected the entrance group, classrooms, assembly and sports halls. Presently, the works is competed by 12%, but according to the contractor Vikara LLC, it is planned to complete them by mid-August. </p> <p> The workers replaced the roof, repaired the foundation and façade and installed new windows. It is planned to replace equipment, furniture and inventory. Fifty construction workers work at the facility in one shift. </p> <p> Rustem Gafarov instructed to pay special attention to the design of the facility, as well as the quality of the materials used in the decoration. </p> <p> Gafarov also instructed to replace the covering in the sports hall. The head of the Executive Committee of the city stressed that it should be of high quality to serve for many years. </p> <p> Then, Rustem Gafarov visited the school № 98 at 23 Amirkhan Yeniki Street for 584 students. The building was last renovated in 2014, so it was included in the program this year. </p> <p> The main part of the building was built in 1939, and its extension in 1989. Today, the work is completed by 17%. Rustem Gafarov looked around the classrooms, a sports hall and an entrance group here. He instructed the contractor organization Stroyinvest LLC to increase the pace of work and complete them by the beginning of the new school year. </p> <p> For reference, in 2022 51 educational institutions were renovated in the capital of Tatarstan, including schools № 143 and № 173, as well as school № 131. In Gymnasium No. 18, the main building was repaired, and a construction of a new building was completed. </p> <p> Canteens in educational institutions will also be renovated – 21 school restaurants will appear in Kazan. In total, there are 144 school restaurants in the city – this is 78% of the total number of canteens. </p> <p> Albert Salikhov, head of the administration of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts, Andrey Machin, Deputy Head of the Education Department of the Executive Committee, Pyotr Korolyov, Director of the Department for the Maintenance of Social Facilities in Kazan, representatives of contracting organizations, designers and school management also took part in the inspection.<br> </p>
