The work of public transport in Kazan was highly appreciated at the international summit in Stockholm

<p> (KZN.RU, June 19). The work of the urban passenger transport of Kazan is highly appreciated at the Global Summit of the International Union of Public Transport. It was held in Stockholm from 9 to 12 of June. The experience of the capital of the RT was presented by Ildar Shakirov, the deputy head of the Kazan Executive Committee, and Aidar Abdulkhakov, the chairman of the Committee on Transport. In total, more than 15 thousand participants from 80 countries took part in the Congress. </p> <p> The Global Summit of the International Union of Public Transport takes place once every two years. Within the framework of the Congress, 30 sessions of the congress were held, including the Eurasian session on the topic “Building sustainable systems in the context of global climate change “from -50 to +50”. Aidar Abdulkhakov presented the work of the Kazan transport system, spoke about the renewal of rolling stock, automated traffic management systems, traffic, electronic information boards, and etc. Then A. Abdulkhakov answered the questions on the organization of transport services for major international events, the work of public transport in the winter period and took part in the discussion of the work of the high-speed type of transport: metrobus in large cities. </p> <p> According to the results of the Eurasian session, the experience of Kazan's urban passenger transport was highly appreciated by colleagues from other cities. </p> <p> Also, an exhibition of the latest transport innovations was organized at the summit. More than 350 exhibits from more than 35 countries were presented, reports the Committee on Transport. </p>
