R. Minnikhanov: “We need to focus on working with young people”

The meeting of the collegium of the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the RT was held in the CC “Moskovsky”.

(KZN.RU, January 30). Today, an extended meeting of the final board of the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the RT was held in the CC “Moskovsky” in Kazan. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, Asgat Safarov, the head of the Presidential Administration of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Alexander Bugaev, the head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), and others attended the event.

Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, reminded how the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the RT was created. “We decided to create a ministry. Although we had approached the topic several times before, it seemed that this was not the way. Our focal point is youth. But I am sure that our decision is correct and that we need to change the situation, to pay more attention to this topic”, said the President of the RT.

According to him, in many respects, the question is not youth. “The question is that we, the authorities, are not doing enough, our municipalities and our universities. Everyone complains that the young people leave and don’t come back, but no one spoke to them or offered them any prospects”, noted Rustam Minnikhanov. “If we don’t have such structures for working with young people at the municipal level, then we cannot expect results.”

The head of the republic reminded that about 40 social programs are being implemented in Tatarstan this year. “In every settlement, we are trying to do something within the framework of creating a comfortable living environment. But if there are no prospects for career growth, of course, young people will leave”, believes the President of the RT. “We need to focus on working with young people, do specific things. The main thing in the Strategy 2030 of the RT is human capital. What is human capital? This is our young people”.

In his speech, he also raised the issue of capital repairs and construction of summer recreation camps, providing personnel for working with young people. He had already instructed the Ministry of Finance of the RT to consider the issue of salary increase for professionals who will work in the field of youth policy.

In general, Rustam Minnikhanov wished the experts on work with youth not to rest and only talk about their achievements, but also raise existing problems.

Damir Fattakhov, the Minister of Youth Affairs of the RT, made the main report. “In order to remain a leader and keep developing at the same pace, we need to meet the modern challenges and actual needs of young people”, he said. Today, the process of forming the Ministry of Youth Affairs RT is completed. The department, despite the transition period and a large number of organizational issues, managed to fulfill all the obligations regarding the implementation of programs and the execution of the republican budget in the field of youth policy for 2018.

According to Damir Fattakhov, the main principle of the new department strategy is “Nothing for youth without youth”. He noted that the ministry’s mission is to create opportunities for social, creative, and professional self-realization of young people. “First of all, we have done an audit of youth policy objects”, said Damir Fattakhov. “There are more than 350 of them in the republic. Infrastructure efficiency is measured by how much the objects are in demand. This is the first challenge: everything we do should be in demand for young people. ”

Damir Fattakhov at the board informed that in 2018, the youth of Tatarstan collected grants in a record amount of more than 195 million rubles. The most significant was the competition for the “Growth of Youth” grants, thanks to which dozens of young people from Tatarstan received support for the implementation of original projects totaling more than 20 million rubles, said the minister.

D. Fattakhov spoke more of the issue of interaction with representatives of youth who left the region. According to him, a concept is being developed to keep in touch with them, reports the press service of the President of the RT.
