R.Gafarov: “The entire city should be clean, regardless of whether it is a yard or a commercial area”

Since the beginning of the winter season, 294,000 tons of snow have been removed from the streets of Kazan.

Since the beginning of January in Kazan, according to Tatarstan Hydrometeorological Center, 24 mm of rain fell, which is equivalent to 73% of month’s rain fell. The main roads in Kazan are in standard condition

650 janitors and 47 vehicles carried out snow cleaning of yards in the Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts

During the New Year holidays, 136 snow removal vehicles and 108 road workers were involved in the Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts every day. 34 thousand tons of snow were removed. In the beginning of January, 941 tons of salt-sand mix and 340 tons of deicing chemicals were used.

Six hundred and fifty janitors, as well as 47 snow removal vehicles were involved in the cleaning of yards, more than 5,000 tons of salt-sand mix were used, the head of the administration of the Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts of Kazan Fanis Nurmukhametov said.

17,000 tons of snow were removed from the streets of Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts during the holidays

In the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts, more than 270 janitors and 14 snow removal vehicles were involved in cleaning yards during the holidays, said Sergey Mironov, head of the administration of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts.

In total, the contractors involved more than 120 snow removal vehicles. During the New Year holidays, 1 thousand tons of salt-sand mix and 440 tons of deicing chemicals were used on the roads. Seventeen thousand tons of snow were disposed of at snow melting points.

Snow was also removed from the village roads.

In the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts, 742 yards were cleaned daily by 712 janitors

In the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts of the city, 190 road workers were involved in cleaning roads and sidewalks, on especially snowy days their number reached 229. Also, the territory of the districts was cleaned by 154 snow removal vehicles, if necessary, 291 units were involved.

According to Marat Zakirov, head of the district administration, almost 58,000 tons of snow were removed from city streets during the New Year holidays. In total, 711 tons of salt-sand mix and 697 tons of deicing chemicals were used.

Every day 742 yards were cleaned by 712 janitors.

Four illegal snow dumps were detected in the Sovetsky district of Kazan

In the Sovetsky district, about 550 janitors and more than 65 vehicles ensured snow cleaning of the yards during the New Year holidays.

From December 31 to January 9, 141 vehicles cleaned the roads on a daily basis, 137 road workers were involved, 522 tons of deicing chemicals and 1682 tons of salt-sand mix were used. More than 20 thousand tons of snow were removed to snow melting stations and two temporary snow storage sites.

According to the head of the administration of the Sovetsky district Roman Fatkhutdinov, during the holidays, four illegal snow dumps were detected, three of them are on private property and one at the municipal territory.

During the holidays, the district's hotline received 68 appeals from citizens. Each appeal was processed in a timely manner, Roman Fatkhutdinov noted.

Rustem Gafarov, head of the Executive Committee of Kazan, noted that all municipal services worked in an enhanced mode during the holidays, but there are still shortcomings.

“We continue to receive complaints, there is still room for improvement, especially at the yards and adjacent territories of commercial facilities”, - Rustem Gafarov said. He instructed the Department of Administrative and Technical Inspection to strengthen work on identifying violators of winter maintenance of territories. “The entire city should be clean, regardless of whether it is a yard or the territory of a commercial area”, - the head of the Executive Committee emphasized.
