R.Gafarov: “Conscripts will not go to hotspots, they will serve in areas within their military bases"

About 700 people from Kazan will join military service during the spring conscription campaign.

The spring conscription campaign, which started on April 1, is underway in Kazan. About 700 young men from the capital of Tatarstan will join military service among other 134 thousand people from the entire country. Today, the meeting of the Army Conscription Commission of the military commissariat of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts was held with the participation of the Chair of the commissions - Head of the Executive Committee of Kazan Rustem Gafarov and the head of the district administration Sergei Mironov.

One hundred and forty people will join military service from the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts

No more than 30 people are invited to the military commission, today 14 young people were called to it. One hundred and forty people from Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts will join military service in this conscription campaign. Since April 1, thirty-nine young men have been selected for service based on the results of the commissions.

Kazan residents serve throughout the country from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok. According to the results of this draft, 36% of recruits will serve in the Ground Forces, 14% in the Navy and the National Guard of Russia, 13% in the units of central subordination of the Russian Ministry of Defense, 10% in the Strategic Missile Forces, 9% in the Aerospace Forces, 3% – in the Presidential regiment, 1% – in the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

“Parents of young people, as well as prospective conscripts, should not worry -conscripts will not go to hot spots, they will serve only in areas within their military bases”, - Rustem Gafarov emphasized.

Young people pass the commission individually. When assigning to a particular military base, the health status of the person, education and family composition are taken into account. Young people with higher education and IT skills are recommended to scientific companies. Conscripts with a driver's license, as a rule, are sent to those military bases where drivers are required.

More than 200 people will join military service from Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts

In addition, a meeting of the Army Conscription commission was held today in the military commissariat of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts. More than 200 people will join military service from these districts, including the Presidential Regiment. In total, 10 Kazan citizens will be serve in the regiment from Tatarstan, 6 of them from the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts.

The conscripts will have to do three PCR tests

All military offices in Kazan continue to comply with sanitary and epidemiological requirements introduced since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. At the entrance to the buildings, the temperature is taken, visitors are asked to put on masks and treat their hands with antiseptic.

The flows of citizens are distributed so that conscripts do not overlap with other people who come to the military enlistment office on personal matters. The recruits will have to do three PCR tests.

The spring conscription campaign will run until July 15.
