R.Gafarov: “Half of the municipal facilities offered to entrepreneurs have been leased – there is a mutual benefit”

<p> In Kazan, half of the 114 facilities provided to entrepreneurs on preferential terms under the Rental Holidays program have been demanded. Repair works have already been completed in 35 premises and various companies have been opened: hostels, offices of travel agencies, beauty salons, service centers and others. The program is beneficial not only for businessmen, but also for the municipality, the head of the Executive Committee of Kazan Rustem Gafarov noted at the Business Monday. </p> <p> The Rental holidays program for preferential rental of municipal premises was launched in Kazan in 2016. Then the city conducted an inventory of municipal facilities, and a list of property was developed, which now includes 114 facilities. </p> <p> Today, half of these premises are leased, 35 facilities are open for various companies, 14 are being renovated, Deputy head of the Executive Committee Ildar Shakirov reported. </p> <p> “Diligent entrepreneurs who rent municipal premises can purchase them directly without bidding procedures with a deferred payment up to three years”, - the deputy head of the Executive Committee added. </p> <p> By the Rental Holidays program, businessmen receive the necessary support, and the city does not spend money on maintaining premises, Rustem Gafarov noted. “Half of the facilities offered to entrepreneurs have found their owners. There is a mutual benefit: we launch the commercialization of the illiquid premises, remove the burden on the budget of maintenance costs, and begin to receive rental payments. And entrepreneurs get a priority right to purchase these premises without any bidding procedures”, - he said. </p> <p>   </p>
