According to the Employment Center, young workers change jobs on average every three months
In Kazan, the unemployment rate continues to remain at a record low of 0.17% of the workforce. For the first time in two years, job seekers' activity in the Kazan labor market has exceeded the needs of employers. According to the Employment Center, this is due to young employees changing jobs on average three times a year, which has led to an increase in the number of resumes submitted per vacancy by 30% compared to 2024. The labor market index has increased in such areas as IT technology, transport, construction, medicine, and education, as well as manufacturing. This was announced by Timur Mullin, the head of the «Employment Center of the republic of Tatarstan».
«In fact, a new generation is now entering the workforce with its own set of ideas and expectations that may not be convenient or easily understood by employers. Therefore, we need to look for new ways to attract and retain young employees,» - said Rustem Gafarov, deputy head of the Executive Committee.
Currently, the number of employees in Kazan stands at 647,000. The number of workforce, including those who are employed and those who are unemployed, totals 661,000, an increase of 18,000 compared to 2022. This is due to a decrease in the unemployment rate by 6,000 and an increase in the number employed by 24,000.
By 2029, projections show a growth in the number of employees across the republic by nearly 49,000.
