Foreigners arriving in Kazan are requested to provide their COVID-19 test results

Presently, the issue of conducting tests for coronavirus at the Kazan airport is being considered.

All foreign citizens arriving to Russia are requested to provide their coronavirus test results. Lyubov Avdonina, deputy head of the Tatarstan Department of the Russian Agency for Health and consumer rights, announced it today at a press conference at the IA “Tatar-inform”. Currently, the issue of conducting coronavirus tests at the Kazan airport is being considered.

From today, international flights from Kazan continue operating – the first plane from the capital of Tatarstan flied out to Antalya.

Tatarstan residents returning from abroad must register on the Tatarstan state services portal and attach the results of testing for COVID-19 to their accounts, L.Avdonina reminded. Today, according to her, about 900 residents of the republic who returned from abroad have already registered in a special section on the Tatarstan state services portal.

When boarding a plane to Kazan, foreign citizens must have the test results to provide them to the airline, explained L.Avdonina. “Without these documents, the passenger may not be allowed on board by the air carrier”, - she said.

Employees of the Tatarstan department of the Russian Agency for Health and consumer rights will conduct quarantine control, passengers’ questionnaires, check the results of testing of both Tatarstan and foreign citizens. By the way, over the past day, 45 aircraft were inspected in the republic, 5,840 passengers and crew members were checked, no one was suspected in the virus.

Presently, the issue of COVID-19 testing for passengers arriving in the republic is being resolved. In particular, the issue of collecting biomaterials right at the airport is under consideration, added Lyubov Avdonina.
