Tatarstan President congratulates municipal employees on the Day of Local Self-Government

Today, a commemorative event dedicated to the Day of Local Self-Government was held at the Korston hotel. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated representatives of municipal authorities on their professional holiday. The event was also attended by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.

Addressing the guests, Tatarstan President reminded that last year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, many events were held online. This year, it is also necessary to comply with epidemiological requirements, the head of the republic believes. He thanked everyone for their contribution to combating the pandemic and its consequences.

Today, the municipal government of Tatarstan is a large team of managers, including deputies of local self-government, heads of municipalities, employees and leaders of territorial public self-government, Tatarstan President noted. He reminded that 6,782 municipal employees work in the republic. “This is a reliable and professional team, - the Tatarstan President. - You work with the population, on the front line, and I am sure that together we will be able to implement all accomplishments”.
