About a thousand people took part in the “Night Cycle Fest” in Kazan

The participants of the cycle race for the next year suggested to hold a contest of costumes or paving the route to the old places of the city.

(KZN.RU, October 15, Alena Miroshnichenko). About a thousand people took part in the “Night Cycle Fest-2018” last weekend in Kazan. Daria Sannikova, the chairman of the Tourism Promotion Committee, announced this today at the Business Monday. Representatives of various cycling communities, organizations, fans of this sport not only from Kazan, but also guests from Cheboksary, Yoshkar-Ola, Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow, as well as Turkey, Dagestan, Georgia, and Spain were among the participants.

This year, participants crossed the 30 km long route. It passed through the hospitality places of Kazan: the entrance gates of the city, the River Port, the Railway Station, the central parks and squares of the city, museums, the leading restaurants of the city, and other significant objects. Traditionally, a tour of the excursion was led on its waves by one of the city radio stations.

Following the results of the cycle-fest, a large number of reviews were published on the Internet. Some offered their ideas for the next year, for example, to organize a competition for the most unusual costume or to pass the ancient places of Kazan.

Daria Sannikova thanked the heads of the districts’ administrations, the Traffic Police Directorate, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Kazan for their support and assistance in holding the event.
