50,000 seedlings will be planted near Kazan as part of the international campaign “Garden of Memory”

The organizers will give out shovels and plants at the sites

On May 4, the international campaign “Garden of Memory” will take place near Kazan, it is dedicated to the celebration of the 79^th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The participants will plant 50,000 seedlings of spruce, pine and larch in memory of the fallen.

For residents of the capital of Tatarstan, the event will be organized at four sites: near the village of Biryulinsky animal farm, in the village of Semiozerka in the Vysokogorsky district, in the village of Tarlashi and in the Matyushinsky settlement of the Laishevsky district.

The event will start at 10:00. It is expected that about 1.5 million young plants will be planted in Tatarstan during the campaign.

This year, the Garden of Memory campaign was supported by about 35 countries. At the end of April, tree planting took place in Baku (Azerbaijan), Yerevan (Armenia), near the village of Percata (Hungary).
