About 196 thousand people visited four sites of Sabantuy, which was held yesterday of Kazan, said Valery Samatoshenkov, the deputy head of the City Department of Internal Affairs, today at the Business Monday. Denis Kalinkin, the head of the Kazan Executive Committee, explained that the temporary access restriction to the site in the Berezovaya Roscha in Mirny was due to a high risk of crushing, and apologized to those who had to wait to get to the holiday. </p> <p> Valery Samatoshenkov said that in order to avoid emergencies, the work of the police at the Sabantuy sites was preceded by a series of operational and preventive measures. Samatoshenkov. </p> <p> “On June 23, Kazan police served in an emergency mode. Before the start of the holiday, all the sites and adjacent territories were examined by canine specialists with specially trained service dogs for the presence of explosives. The traffic police posts were exhibited to regulate traffic. In general, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the RT and other interested ministries and departments, all the necessary measures were taken to address the issues of ensuring law and order during the holiday. There were no severe violations of public order and security”, said the speaker. </p> <p> Having heard the information from the deputy head of the city police department, Denis Kalinkin, the head of the Kazan Executive Committee, thanked Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, for the opportunity to organize 4 sites in the capital of the republic. “Last year, Sabantuy returned to Kirovsky district, this year, to Sovetsky district in Derbyshki. I want to say thank the villagers of the republic for those farmsteads and the holiday that they presented to the citizens of Kazan on their sites”, he said. </p> <p> However, despite the fact that the number of organized places of folk festivals increased compared to last year, each was filled with spectators to the limit. Kalinkin said that in the Berezovaya Roscha in Mirny, the guest flow turned out to be so large that at some point, for security reasons, they had to temporarily suspend access to the site. “I apologize to those whose holiday was spoiled by the need to wait some time, as the amphitheater was crowded. The spectators stood even in the aisles, there was a very high risk of crushing. For us, this is an occasion to further analyze the situation and find a solution for the future in order to avoid it”, summed up the speaker. He also instructed the heads of districts in whose territory the celebration was organized, to control the establishment of order. D. Kalinkin marked that since the holiday was held in recreational areas, it is necessary to quickly bring them to their original state. </p>
