The names of hockey players-candidates for participation in the Universiade 2019 will be determined by the results of the tournament in Kazan

<p> (KZN.RU, September 11). The new season of the Student Hockey League starts in Kazan on September 14. Competitions for the Cup of the opening of the Student Hockey League will be held in the ice palace “Zilant”. </p> <p> </p> <p> The strongest hockey players of 1996-2002 of birth will come on the ice as part of 4 national teams: “Zapad” and “Center”, “Vostok”, and “Povolzhie”. The last included 5 Kazan sportsmen: Valery Murlatov, Aristarkh Volkov, and Aidar Nizamiev from the Volga Region Academy of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, as well as Artur Chernov from the Kazan Federal University, and Yuri Volkov from the Kazan National Research Technological University. According to the results of the competitions, a list of candidates will be drawn up for participation in international tournaments, including the XXIX World Winter Universiade-2019 in Krasnoyarsk and the World Cup in University Hockey. </p> <p> </p> <p> The opening of the tournament will be held in the ice palace “Zilant” on September 14 at 7 pm. The honorary guests of the ceremony will be Alexey Morozov, a two-time world champion, and Vladimir Yurzinov, a two-time world champion, winner of the USSR Cup. They who will hold an autograph session in the hall of the building. On the same day, the first matches will be held between teams “Zapad” and “Center”, “Povolzie” and “Vostok”.
