Kazan Declaration has been adopted following the BRICS summit. It contains general assessments of the global state of affairs, the results of the Russian presidency of the association, and outlines guidelines for cooperation in the long term, the Press Office of Russian President Vladimir Putin reports.

«If there are no objections or comments, then I suggest we consider the declaration adopted. And I would like to note that we intend to share this document with the UN as a common, joint effort», – the Russian leader said to the audience.

The meeting took place at the Kazan Expo, where participants discussed various aspects of BRICS activities, including economic and humanitarian issues. They also discussed the need for increased cooperation between countries in order to tackle global challenges and implement the potential of developing economies.

The BRICS summit will take place in Kazan until October 24. An official reception is expected today, and tomorrow plenary sessions in the outreach and BRICS + formats will be held. The summit will end with a press conference by Vladimir Putin.
