The first “waffle” road marking will appear on Kazan roads on July 1

The innovation will relieve the crossroads of Levo-Bulachnaya and Parizhskaya Communa, where traffic jams often occur during rush hours.

(KZN.RU, June 28). From July 1, the first “waffle” road marking and the traffic signs “Intersection” will be applied at the intersection of Levo-Bulachnaya and Parizhskaya Communa streets in Kazan. The innovation will relieve the crossroads, which often cause traffic jams at rush hours, noted in the Kazan Transport Committee.

The marking is a checkered pattern. Thanks to it, drivers will visually understand the boundaries of the intersection. It is forbidden to ride it if there is a traffic jam ahead. The road sign “Intersection” in the form of a yellow square on a dark background with two intersecting diagonals will warn drivers that there is a “waffle” marking at the intersection.

The driver faces a fine of 1 thousand rubles for departure at the intersection with the “waffle” marking at the time of the traffic jam.

The Kazan Executive Committee asks drivers to be attentive and follow the requirements of road signs and markings.
