The Mayor of Kazan held an on-site meeting in the yard, where work on the Our Yard project began

Renovation work under the Our Yard republican program has started in several Kazan yards. One of them is the yard on Ippodromnaya Street, next to the Tylsym Inclusive Center. The Mayor held an on-site meeting there. “The warm weather allows us to start landscaping programs earlier. Our Yard is a long-awaited program that Kazan residents have been looking forward to for a long time. It is here, we begin and end our day, here we meet with our neighbors. We are grateful to the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan for the opportunity to improve the living conditions of thousands of Kazan residents every year. This year, we plan to renovate more yards than last year, affecting the territories of 464 residential buildings. Each yard should have its own unique character,”- said the Mayor of Kazan. One of the main problems of the yard was insufficient lighting - at night, the area was illuminated only by entrance lights. As part of the landscaping project, 18 additional outdoor lighting poles will be installed to improve the lighting. Due to the removal of old, illegal garages, the number of parking spaces will double to 78. The asphalt surface will also be completely repaired, and playgrounds, benches, a clothes dryer, trash bins, and a modern dumpster playground will be installed. As of today, 11 special vehicles and 21 workers are currently involved in the project. Ilsur Metshin proposed the installation of a summer stage for outdoor concerts in the yard. Rubberized flooring for disabled people will be installed in one of the areas at the expense of funds from the ANO “Good Kazan”. Inclusive sports equipment will be equipped here as well. Last year, 459 yards with an area of over 500,000 square meters were landscaped in Kazan. More than 570,000 square meters of asphalt were renovated and 5,000 additional parking spots were equipped. Over 100 new container sites were installed. In total, the yards for 100,000 Kazan residents were improved.
