Another humanitarian shipment weighing almost 100 tons was sent from Kazan to Lisichansk

21 tons of building materials, 61 tons of food and other cargoes will be delivered to the city supported by Tatarstan.

This year’s third batch of humanitarian cargo weighing 95.8 tons was sent from Kazan to Lisichansk. Five trucks with food, building materials, clothing, household chemicals, blood transfusion devices and other necessary items will be delivered to residents of the city supported by Tatarstan. The shipment of cargo from the central warehouse on Gorkovsky Highway was controlled by the head of the Executive Committee of the capital of the republic of Tatarstan Rustem Gafarov.

Ildar Shakirov, deputy head of the Executive Committee of the city, informed that the humanitarian campaign is aimed at ensuring the normal activity of Lisichansk, restoring the housing stock and infrastructure. In total, 61.1 tons of food products were collected, including canned meat, cereals, pasta, rice, buckwheat, millet and butter, 21.5 tons of building materials, of which 20 tons – 800 asbestos slates for roofing. In addition, clothes, pipes, household chemicals, gasoline heaters, motor pumps, gasoline generators, welding machines, blood transfusion devices with a total weight of 13.2 tons were loaded into the trucks.

Rustem Gafarov expressed gratitude to the residents of the city and organizations that have contributed to collecting humanitarian aid. He also thanked the head of the carrier company and the truck drivers for participating in the delivery of humanitarian cargo to Lisichansk and wished them a safe journey.

Earlier in February, two shipments of humanitarian aid weighing 100 tons each were sent from the capital of the republic of Tatarstan to Lisichansk. The first of them included supplies, building materials and a diesel boiler. Roofing materials and heating devices were also sent to Lisichansk – 17 furnaces and heating pellets for them, 8 portable gas stoves. The second humanitarian cargo, consisting of six trucks, delivered to the residents of the city supported by Tatarstan basic necessities, pipes for the restoration of water supply and other building materials, a UAZ car, sports equipment, as well as letters from Kazan residents with words of support.

The collection of humanitarian aid continues, collecting points are located in youth clubs and sports venues, they are marked with the Good Kazan logos. Details can be found in a special section on KZN.RU.
