A flash mob “Keepers of Birds” has been launched in Tatarstan

According to ornithologists, more than half of the urban birds die due to a lack of feed in winter.

(KZN.RU, January 17). A flash mob “Keepers of Birds” has been launched in Tatarstan. Citizens could join it, attend webinars, and get useful eco-gifts.

The flash mob “Keepers of Birds” is launched on the Ecowiki.ru portal. It is a platform of open knowledge and technology for promoting the eco-friendly lifestyle and the development of the ecological community in Russia. Webinars will be conducted on the portal for participants of the flash mob. To participate, you need to register. The organizers of the action will send you some simple tasks, for example, build a bird feeder and hang it outside the window or in the yard, start feeding birds regularly and tell your friends about the flash mob.

According to ornithologists, more than half of the urban birds die due to a lack of feed in winter. Often the birds survive the winter only thanks to the people who feed them. But, unfortunately, the incorrect human help, as well as its full absence, lead to the death of birds, said the organizers of the action.

The flash mob is initiated by an interregional environmental public organization. The project is being implemented thanks to the grant support of the President of the Russian Federation for the development of civil society, report Kazan eco-activists.
