By the new school year, a record number of educational institutions will be repaired and built in Kazan
In the new school year, school № 83 – Education Center of the Privolzhsky district of Kazan will open after renovation. The number of students will increase from 2.7 to 2.9 thousand children. By mid-August, the workers will have to complete the finishing work in the premises and equip the classrooms with new furniture. The progress of the overhaul was inspected by the Mayor of the city Ilsur Metshin.
School № 83 is located on Bratiev Kasimovyh Street in a three-storey building built in 1973. In 2014, major repairs were already carried out here, and two years ago the gym and a canteen were renovated, which switched to the format of a school restaurant. Five years ago, the educational institution was merged with school № 95 and now it is a single educational complex. Today there are more than 140 teachers and 2,700 students, and in the new school year, the number of students will increase to 2,900.
According to Irek Minzaripov, director of LLC SK Kultstroy, the renovation started in May. At the moment, the roof has been repaired by 90%, the front – by 85%. Finishing works are carried out on the first and third floors, as well as on the staircases. At the same time, workers are installing new doors to classrooms, updating entrance groups and replacing lamps. Partial replacement of the heating system is also planned.
The Mayor of Kazan inspected the lobby, classrooms and previously renovated gym and a canteen. “It's no different from the new school. The main thing is that the children should be happy, as well as the entire teaching staff,”- Ilsur Metshin summed up.
Irek Rizvanov, Head of the Education Department of the Executive Committee of the city, and Albert Salikhov, head of the administration of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts, also took part in the visiting meeting.
