The National Museum of the RT will present exhibits of the museum’s founder Andrey Likhachev

On July 17, Kazan residents will learn about the life of the archaeologist and his collections of unique objects.

(KZN.RU, July 12). On July 17, the National Museum of the RT will present museum rarities from the collection of Andrey Likhachev, the outstanding archaeologist, historian, and founder of the museum.

At 12 pm, guests of the thematic excursion “A Museum Begins on His Name” will be told about the life of the collector and his collections of unique items presented in the expositions and stored in museum funds. After the tour, visitors will be able to pass a quest based on the exhibits of the museum's founder. In addition, a show “Collection of porcelain from the collection of A. Likhachev” will take place in the conference hall. At the end of the event, a master class on a medieval technique of coinage will be held.

The National Museum of the RT is one of the largest regional museums in Russia, the research and methodological center of the republic. The assembly of the institution presents more than 934 thousand items of a cultural, historical, and natural heritage of Tatarstan. The collection of Andrey Likhachev that he collected for more than 30 years was the basis of museum funds.
