The new facility will open at Ostrovsky Street, №15, where the famous Tatar writer Sharif Kamal lived in the 20s-40s of the XX century.
(KZN.RU, October 10). Fr om 14 to 16 of October, thematic Donation Days will be held at the National Museum of the RT. All gifts of museum visitors will be exhibited in the House of Tatar Book, which will open in a few months. The memorial apartment of the Tatar writer Sharif Kamal will also be located there.
Employees of the National Museum ask visitors to bring everything that is in any way related to the Tatar Book: books themselves in Tatar or in translations into other languages in various genres, personal items of writers and publishers, typewriters with Tatar print, printing tools, and more.
In the 20s-40s of the XX century, the famous Tatar writer Sharif Kamal lived in the building at Ostrovsky Street, №15, wh ere the House of the Tatar Book would open. At one time, his apartment united many representatives of the Tatar intelligentsia. It will recreate the atmosphere of the writer’s apartment in the form it was during his life. An exposition telling about the history of the Tatar book from ancient times to the present day will be presented in other rooms of the future museum. In addition, a library, a media center, a hall for creative meetings, and a large bookstore will work in the House of Tatar Book.
Gifts from visitors to the National Museum will be accepted from 14 to 16 of October from 10 am to 5 pm.
