(KZN.RU, April 23). The visiting meeting of the Anti- Terrorism Commission in Tatarstan was held today in Kukmor under the chairmanship of Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT. He urged public associations of the republic to be involved in preventive antiterrorist work and ordered closer cooperation between the municipalities on this issue.

The meeting participants considered additional measures to improve the organization of targeted preventive work.

Rafail Gilmanov, the Secretary of the Security Council of the RT, made a report. He said that targeted work has been carried out in the republic since 2016 in accordance with the methodological recommendations for working with persons of special attention category in the framework of interdepartmental working groups. Today, such working groups have been established in 19 districts. They cover 214 citizens and 629 members of their families bringing up 148 children.

Last year, they managed to find additional forms of interaction with non-profit and religious organizations, to involve the wards and their relatives in various positive forms of employment and leisure. Educational organizations assisted in the adaptation of children. Issues on the employment of adult family members were resolved. 17 people received qualified psychotherapeutic and medical assistance, social support measures were provided to 30 families.

According to R. Gilmanov, a set of measures allowed to achieve certain positive results. At the same time, he noted the presence of substantial reserves in the work of the commissions, urging the municipalities to participate more actively in these events.

Rafis Burganov, the vice prime minister of the RT and the minister of Education and Science of the RT, reported that today there is a tendency of growth in the number of schoolchildren mastering educational programs in family form, reports the press service of the President of the RT. The number of such students reaches 1359 people. The choice of this form of education in 11.5% of cases is due to religious beliefs. The minister said that children with home education have the lower results of the Unified State Exam in a number of subjects than students who study full-time.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the study of such subjects as chemistry and physics requires the availability of an appropriate material base: laboratories, special devices and other things. He noted that access to this equipment is possible only within the walls of schools.

Damir Fattakhov, the minister of Youth Affairs of the RT, noted that an important task today is to minimize the distance between adolescents and adults who work with them in educational institutions. He marked that the role of teachers and psychologists in schools is especially important in targeted work and individual support of representatives of various risk groups. “These specialists should hear them in time, identify the potential risk in the adolescent’s behavior, respond adequately to it, correctly occupy him with something useful”, said D. Fattakhov.

In conclusion, R. Minnikhanov noted that ensuring peace and security in multinational Tatarstan is a common task. Success in this matter can only be achieved through joint efforts. “It is important to involve public associations, religious organizations in this work, as well as to mobilize all possible reserves”, added the President of the RT and stated the need for closer interagency cooperation of municipalities.
