Eight sports venues are being renovated in Kazan on the eve of the BRICS Games

Among them are the Rowing Sports Center, the Aquatics Palace, the Tennis Academy and others

A number of sports venues will be renovated for the BRICS Games, which will be held in Kazan in June: the Central Stadium, the Boxing and Table Tennis Center, the Volleyball Center, the Rowing Sports Center, the Aquatics Palace, the Tennis Academy, the Burevestnik swimming pool and the Tulpar sports complex.

Repair work has already started in them, Ilya Korotikhin, director of the Department for Maintenance of Social Facilities, reported.

He reminded that this year the capital of the republic of Tatarstan will host a number of international tournaments, so significant funding has been allocated for sports venues – more than 5 billion rubles.

“Prior the Games of the Future, repairs were carried out at the Trudovye Reservy stadium, the scoreboard, doors, fixtures, plumbing were replaced, a rubber coating was laid in the corridors of the first floor,”- Ilya Korotikhin shared and added that the roof and decoration of the facade are being repaired at the Iskander sports venue.
