More than 220 deciduous trees are being renovated on Kremlevskaya Street in Kazan

<p> (KZN.RU, April 18, Ksenia Shvetsova). Trees are being renovated in Kazan on Kremlevskaya Street. Most of them have been requiring a replacement for a long time.  Many trees have already become dead, others have fungal diseases and cracks. In addition, all plants have different heights, and a transplant will bring the street to a uniform view. In this regard, emergency trees are removed, and high-decorative, large-sized trees are being planted in their place. In total, it is planned to replace 221 trees. </p> <p> Part of the excavated trees in a satisfactory condition is transplanted to Gorky Park. There they will have a new life in a specially prepared territory. It is important to note that the transplant allows carefully extracting the trees together with the root system and the earthen lump. So the plants tolerate the transplant and can adapt quickly to the new conditions. </p> <p> Works on the transplantation of trees started on April 14. Today more than 12 workers and 5 units of special equipment are involved in it. According to Irek Gilmanov, the chief agronomist of the MUP trust “Gorvodzelenkhoz”, it is the favorable season now for their transplantation, while the trees have not yet blossomed. </p> <p> Young lindens, grown in domestic nurseries and adapted to our weather, are being planted now. Irek Gilmanov said that the size and height were taken into account when selecting trees for transplantation. Selected trees are about 15 years. They are beautiful, healthy, tall plants that will become an ornament of the main street of the capital of Tatarstan. </p> <p> “We completely change the soil during transplanting, the old one should not be used. We have prepared a quality land for the transplantation. We add drainage In the excavated pit so that the water does not stagnate. After planting we fertilize, water, and compact the earth”, said I.Gilmanov. </p> <p> Throughout the season, new trees will be constantly maintained. The plants will be regularly watered and fertilized. And after they have taken root and spread out, their branches will be cut. This will bring trees into a uniform appearance and reduce the load on the root system. </p>
