Representatives of the hospitality industry took part in planting 30 Rowan spirea seedlings.
Today, the first in the city Alley of tourism opened in Kazan. A new green area of 30 seedlings of Rowan spirea was developed in the park near the rotunda on Peterburgskaya street. More than 30 representatives of the hospitality industry – hoteliers, restaurateurs, employees of travel companies, guides, as well as Consuls General of foreign countries-took part in the event.
In the next five years, 10 thousand trees are planned to be planted in the capital of Tatarstan, and the creation of the Alley of tourism is a good start of work on landscaping the city, Deputy Head of the Kazan municipality Evgenia Lodvigova said in her greeting. “Our city is famous for its friendship and hospitality. Such a symbolic tree planting is a big step towards bringing the tourism industry to a new level, - E.Lodvigova said. – It is no secret that this year, due to the current circumstances, this industry has significantly fell down. I am sure that the creation of the alley will become a symbol of new life, and tourism will begin to recover”.
The creation of the new alley is coincided with the holiday – world tourism day, which was marked last weekend, Director of the Committee for tourism development Daria Sannikova reminded. “For Kazan, tourism is one of the most important sectors of the economy, so we decided to celebrate this important date on a large scale”, - she said.
Ekaterina Barabanova, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for tourism of Tatarstan, and Zufar Gayazov, Chairman of the board of the Association of restaurateurs and hoteliers of Kazan and Tatarstan, congratulated the participants on the day of tourism.
After planting the seedlings, a commemorative plaque with the name and inscription “Knowing your roots, a person finds support in life. While traveling, he finds the life” was installed at the entrance of the Alley of tourism.
